Porch doors open on to the patio |
The traditional stone cabin, in an old cider orchard, sleeps 2 people
comfortably or up to 4 if you don't mind cosying up! It has one bedroom,
a cosy kitchen/lounge, a sunny dining porch, and a shower room. It
is simply furnished with rustic, hand made furniture, plenty of hooks
and shelves for your personal belongings and the kitchen is stocked
with cutlery, crockery and basic cooking equipment including a toaster
and kettle – no fancy electrical gadgets!

River Cabin garden with fire pit |
The bedroom, with its stripped pine floor, provides
flexible sleeping options with a double futon and 3 bunkbeds. The
kitchen/lounge has a belfast sink, combie microwave oven, two ring
induction hob and fridge with freezer compartment, a Villager gas
heating stove, fold out table, a small sofa and radio – there
is no TV. From the slate-floored dining porch, with its locally made
rustic table and bench seating, glazed oak doors open onto a flagstone
patio and enclosed riverside garden which catches the morning and
evening sun. The garden has a bistro table & chairs, stone firepit
& BBQ. If you fancy an evening sitting around a campfire or an
outdoor cook-up we can supply local charcoal and logs. Please note
that River Cabin is smoke-free throughout.
The
new solar panels on the roof help provide green electricity and water
is drawn from aquafers 180 feet underground with no chlorine or chemical
treatment necessary. There are some fantastic on and off road bike
rides in the area and if you bring your own bikes (or rent them locally)
you are welcome to lock them in our eco-friendly cedar bike store
with living sedum roof.
We have developed an Environmental
Policy as part of our effort to minimise our impact on the environment
and ask our guests to support us in this endeavour including recycling
and using energy responsibly. We have lots of ideas for local and
car free activities while you are here.
Duvets, bedlinen and towels are supplied; although,
if you are wanting to keep the cost down, we can make a reduction
of £6 per person per stay if you bring your own duvets/sleeping
bags and towels.

If you don’t fancy cooking, you can always treat yourself to
one of our delicious veggie breakfasts or evening

local pubs in Erwood and Llyswen, a couple of miles along the road,
offer a good range of pub food including vegetarian options.
Check-in time is from 4pm and we ask that you vacate by 11am on your
departure date, but we are happy to store your luggage for you if
you wish to make the most of the day before leaving.
